Do you remember learning about Anne Boleyn? I remember in high school learning that she was one of the many wives of King Henry VIII and was executed by the king. I also remembered that she had six fingers on one hand. (That isn’t true.) But did you know she was also a reformer up there with Martin Luther?
That is what you will learn if you read Martha Tatarnic, an Anglican Priest and author of the book Anne Boleyn: Reputation, Revolution, Religion, and the Queen Who Changed History. Martha has had an interest in Anne since she was a child and her fascination with the late queen was also instrumental in helping her become a priest.
So, today I welcome Martha back on the podcast to talk about her book and how to look at Anne Boleyn differently.
Martha is a priest at St. George’s Anglican Church in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Besides her current book, she is the author of the book Why Gather? The Hope and Promise of the Church and the Living Diet: A Christian Journey to Joyful Eating. Martha is also the co-host of the Future Christian podcast along with Loren Richmond Jr.
