Faith and Modern Life in the 21st Century.

Religion or faith isn't a destination, but a journey.  I've always liked journeys since I was a kid. I loved packing up the car and heading down the road.  Faith is sort of like that. We travel down the road of life and reach an intersection or exit ramp to another issue.  Maybe it's about race or sexuality.  Maybe it's the economy. Maybe it's who is running for political office.  Faith always bisects with something; it is always connected with modern life.

Church and Main is a podcast and newsletter where we talk about the intersections of faith and politics and culture. You won’t just read about religion. I also like to look into the economy, politics and even things like the interstate highway system.

About Me.

I grew up in Flint, Michigan which if you know about Flint, means I love cars and transportation.  I have a passion for writing which has led me to be a communications professional for nearly 20 years.  I'm also an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). From 2008 until 2013 I was the Associate Pastor at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Minneapolis.  Since 2013, I've been the Pastor at First Christian Church in Mahtomedi, MN. I live in Minneapolis with my wonderful husband, Daniel.
